Snohomish Sunday

Dan and I decided to go on a short little road trip today. First we considered catching the ferry to Poulsbo, but at the last minute we changed our minds and headed north to Snohomish.

It's a small town that I've heard of but never been to before. It's got a number of really nice old Victorian buildings surrounded by trees in a hilltop neighborhood (which actually reminded me of Lynchburg). Beside the river, the main street of the town is filled with antique shops and two (TWO!) bakeries.

I feel a little sugary knot in my stomach right now as I have not consumed much today that did not contain sugar. Breakfast was a punkin bar. Snack was a peanut butter cookie. Lunch was an order of "Mick Jagger fries" at Fred's Pub, wherein Mick is actually sweet potato fries doused with butter and brown sugar.

Goes good with Guinness. :)

And then we walked back up the street to get ourselves an apple and mixed berry crumble-topped pie before driving home.

I am fully of sugary goodness.
