Such a Heel
Well, well, well.
Today I visited with Dr. Chia, sports medicine man at my clinic. I like Dr. Chia. His favorite word is "vigorous," as in "Let's rest your knee vigorously" and "Let's put you on some vigorous anti-inflammatories."
He said the latter today when I presented with my sore heel. I haven't been able to walk normally on it for about a week now. Ice and ibuprofen had not been helping, so I reluctantly went in for some vigorous medical advice.
While he didn't positively say I couldn't go on the 3-Day walk, he was sort of less than enthusiastic about the idea. Instead, he referred me to have a gait assessment and possible measurement for orthotics.
Blech.
In any case, I'm having a beer and watching Dan play Civ Rev. For tomorrow, once I start anti-inflamming, I cannot drink.

Awww... that sucks! Hopefully you'll still be able to walk in the event.
..and I missed you and Babs at Fan Faire! Maybe next year they'll let you go too.. Had a great time though! First time in Vegas and didn't gamble. Was more fun watching others lose their money.. though I saw a few walk away ahead..
Also was my first time seeing FreeRealms in action (saw the art on the walls at Block Party). I have to admit it looks much more fun than I would have thought. Definitely going to have to try it!
Yeah... but before any of that.. I need to drink coffee.. and I'm going to do it as hard as I can! Oh yeah, then there's that whole WORK thing I have to get through too.. /sigh
Alright, I just wanted to check in! It seems I'm not having a whole lot of time to peruse the interwebs lately and keep falling behind in my blog reading. For now, you rest up and get better! =)

I'm so glad Free Realms is coming along! It's been over a year since I worked on it (wow, weird to think of it that way) and it was just getting all the good bits when I left!
Mr. Falconeer...I tried to keep up with your adventures, but I am afraid Google translator wasn't much help to me :D Did Kariya stay home while you were about?
K. was with his mom, trying to have some qualilty time together. It did work out, thanks to him growing up and being smarter than her :)
I am still planning to move to Finland one day and to become good enough at English to think English. And blogging accordingly :)
