We were in the right place at the right time :)
But we also just spent several weekends driving around and looking at places, plus a lot of craigslist time to find the apartment we were going to get.
You can find something! The truth is out there! =D
I've been doing a lot of driving around and craigslist, too. What I found on craigslist was pretty prohibitive in pricing, what I found by driving around were a ton of foreclosures or short sales. Kinda sad.
Anyway I'm staying put until mom is situated, which means I'll be paying horrendous rent (because of the non-lease penalty) until I find the right place. I'm hoping it won't take more than a couple months.
