Miles to Go
In today's episode, I walked a little over ten miles in my new shoes. They were comfortable and I have no blisters. Yay!
However, I need to do something about my pacing. I tend to walk very quickly by myself and it's causing the back of my right knee to go nuts. It is currently wrapped with an ice pack and I have taken ibuprofen.
When I walk with my team, we sort of meander through our miles which keeps me from over-doing things.
Phil's graduation ceremony was very nice. Chris sat with us and took my camera closer in to take photos for me. While I love my little pink Sony, it doesn't really have a zoom that's meant for this sort of photography. When I'm less tired, I'll upload the photos we took.
I bought another couple of Sims 2 expansions and installed one of them, Seasons, on my laptop. In the midst of creating a new family, I decided to make Sims out of me and Dan (sort of). Welcome back, Drab and Lael Goober! They haven't been around since the original Sims. Lael, get this, wanted a career in...gaming! Hahaha! :)

The return of Lael? Ooooooh. I should build you a house except I use custom content and you don't like that =/ But if you ever change your mind I'll make you one =)
Heh :) Yeah, I don't use any custom content that wasn't made by a Maxis-person. I play for the relationships and not for the interior design.
Although it was fun to pick out a virtual house with Dan for the Goobers to live in (we chose one in the Seasons' new hood, Riverblossom Hills).
Oh...and Lael and Drab had twins yesterday. =o
Samples of makeup?! Where? Where? :)
Makeup samples from Everyday Minerals:
https://www.everydayminerals.com/ and use their menus for Makeup, Custom Kits. At the bottom of the list is the free basic sample kit; you just pay shipping.
Or order more stuff. :)
There is a 20% discount code that was supposed to end last Saturday, but still worked on Monday: "eDm24hR".
I just got my sample kit of RAWminerals and will give it a go tomorrow.
I'm trying to get used to typing without claws. I can actually feel the keys...YUCK! I may be in the salon tomorrow night to get the damned acrylics again. This sucks!!
I ordered a sample kit. Thanks!
I really must ponder reinstalling the Sims and getting some of the expansion packs for it. That way, I can continue my strange love-hate relationship with the game.
I'd definitely love to get some new neighborhoods for it. The other ones got kinda boring.
hahaha...you know, Gryph, every time I fire up the computer and play Sims, I always think of your blog post describing how you felt after playing :)
I just got my makeup samples today, Bonnie! So cute! All these little jars of powder, waiting for me to spill onto something! Yay!
I got my samples the other day and gave them a go. The brushes aren't that great but the powder is pretty good. More luminescent than BareMinerals but not by too much, and their "warm glow" is much more subtle and believable than "Warmth." If my skin stops itching after a week I will prolly switch to RAW. Otherwise I guess I'm allergic to something in them.
So if everyday doesn't work as well as you'd like, you might want to try the RAW line.
I got my samples yesterday. I can't wait to try them out. I guess I should have bought a new brush. Oh well. Question: have you tried any of them "wet" yet? If so, how did you do it? I can never get the wet look to work for me and I think I'm doing it wrong.
I posted an in-depth review here:

Today I'm wearing the intensive (extremely matte) beige neutral and it feels as though I have no make up on at all. I'm preferring it to my Bare Escentuals stuff.
I'm also using the Everyday Minerals' blush Nick Nack and it's a very pale pink on, but looks peach in the jar.
Oh...and to answer your actual question, no...I've never tried using any of these things wet, other than Bare Escentuals's dark brown brow powder. I've used it as an eyeliner before with a damp brush.
You can get cheap brushes from E.L.F.: http://www.eyeslipsface.com/products.asp?dept_id=1038
They aren't the world's bestest brushes, but I'm using several of them and they work just fine for the price. I don't see a kabuki brush in their line up, though, and the blush brush isn't really wide enough to use for foundation.
Anyway, if you order from E.L.F. use coupon code CAROLINA to get 50% off orders of $15 or less.
Thanks. I have a few e.l.f products but haven't ordered any of their brushes.
